Grandchild:

A new picture of my granddaughter (27 months) building with blocks.  OK, wood, but give her time.

An old  picture of my son, Ted, and his daughter, Hazel (17 months old).  They live in Seattle, WA, USA, which is "geek heaven".

Cats:

After I got home from the CVA meeting in late October, I decided to get some cats.  My two elderly cats died during the summer.  I decided to adopt some younger cats, because the loss of six cats in six years was just too hard.  So I got three cats from Caring for Creatures, a local no-kill animal shelter.  I will add pictures to this page soon, but they are still adjusting to their new home.

Apollo:  He is an altered male about 5 years old.  A large (20 lbs or 9 kg), grey tabby -- no orange in his coloring.  As a boss-cat, he had not been easy to place in a new home.  Since my home was "cat free", I had no problem.  With Apollo I got two other cats from the same shelter room -- cats that had a "working relationship" with Apollo.

Tory:  She is a neutered female about 2½ years old.  She is a typical Russian silver gray (about 10 lbs or 4.5 kg); she is smoke grey, with very faint, residual markings.

Danson:  He was born at Caring for Creatures 1½ years ago.  He is an altered male, black and white coloring -- sort of like a panda.  He has a bobtail and very soft, thick fur.  That makes him a Japanese bobtail cat.  About 12 lbs or 5.5 kg.  A lot of kitten personality is left -- always eager for a game of chase, which is not a lot of fun for me at 5:00 AM.
