There has been a lot of discussion about whether the stones from the new factory are less uniform than the original Richter stones. We know from studies by AV Fred Hartjes that the new factory stones are more uniform than the original stones. Of course the original stones were made over an 80 year period; the new stones have been made for only 15 years.
Builders know that they must pay attention to the stones and
place them with due regard to irregularities. Jim Stansfield did not
selectively place the stones in this NF 18 building. One can see quite
clearly that ignored irregularities can easily lead to height limitations.
