AV Danny Battdorf sent pictures of his fortress design for set # 10.  The open design gives this fortress a lot of play value, as there is room for accessory figures.

The Richter design for set # 12 is very popular, but there is little room in the fort for cannon or soldiers.

With a virtually unlimited supply of stones, more than 9,000, Richter produced an open fortress, with great play value, the Large Fortress set, from about 1890.
