This model of the Parthenon, Athens, is on the exact same scale as the Messerschmidt model on the first page. Peter has done a wonderful job and has captured many details.

A close-up of the construction. Note that the fluted columns were made
in two styles -- a taper of 1:25 and no taper. Use of only tapered
columns gives the structure a squat look. Peter has mixed the two types
of stones to produce a column of the correct -- most attractive -- taper.
The blue triglyphs are rare. The original
Richter version of a Greek temple design used blue triglyphs and
red metopes. Peter, as you can see used yellow stones as metopes.
