The Anchor Works is essentially empty, not quite abandoned, but near enough for all practical purposes. The picture below is from a copy of a "greetings from" postcard. The high smokestacks are gone now, even though the one on the right was still in place in 1979; Rudolsbad, the tall building at the top burned down in 1919. In this drawing Rudolsbad is "larger than life". The villa is on the right. The square building with the copula directly above the villa in this picture was built in 1882 as the first stone manufacturing building. This building is still standing.
